The Story
People have called them the “world’s most beautiful cats,” and for the past few years, their different-colored eyes have mesmerized people on social media. Iriss and Abyss are the twin cats who are taking over Instagram.
People who follow Iriss and Abyss on Instagram love nothing more than to see the two beautiful white cats show off their different-colored eyes. Many of their fans think that they are pure-bred Angora or Turkish Van cats, but they are actually a cross between a domestic white cat and a domestic black-and-white cat. They became famous on social media because they won the genetic lottery. Their Russian owner thinks it’s a miracle that both cats were born with white fur and different-colored eyes. One has yellow eyes and the other has blue eyes.

“Generic selection led to the creation of all pure breeds. However, it is truly amazing that we have all these wonderful features without being a specific breed. According to Pavel Dyagilev of Saint Petersburg. “This is a one-in-a-million opportunity! And we are really grateful to have that opportunity.

Dyagilev admitted to Barcroft Animals that he fell in love with Iriss and Abyss the moment he viewed pictures of them in internet ads that their former owner had posted. He adopted them right away and made the decision to showcase their attractiveness on Instagram.
Despite being identical twins, the three-year-old cats appear to have radically distinct personalities. Iriss is “more laid-back,” but Abyss has the demeanor of a “real diva,” and she will only communicate with you when she feels like it. They both appear to like posing for photographs.

Iriss and Abyss have become Instagram celebrities because of their distinctive appearance, but they face stiff competition for the unofficial title of the most beautiful cat from Corby the Cat, whose piercing blue eyes have captivated over 1.4 million Instagram followers.
Fun Fact
Cats use their whiskers to “feel” the world around them in an effort to determine which small spaces they can fit into. A cat’s whiskers are generally about the same width as its body. (This is why you should never, EVER cut their whiskers.)
